No SR20, but pic above provided for reference.

It was black, looked to be completely unmodified (well, except for whatever came w/ the TRD package). The driver was driving reasonably and at the speed limit. He did get away from the red light at, what I would consider, a brisk pace, but by no means fast.

Something about this and the equivalent-year Honda Accord that always strike me as wedgy, dorky, practicality, but still attractive nonetheless.

It strikes me as basically the same car. I like the styling too, especially the coupe:

^NSX-y taillights FTW :D

I’m a fan of boxy wedges; both of these cars, in my eyes, were throwbacks to mid- & late-80's car design.

I had no idea there was a Camry TRD. According to Wiki: TRD offered a supercharger kit for 1997–2001 V6 models raising power to 247 hp.

Dang.

A 1000whp Camry roams the streets close to my house. Daily driven too.

Holy hell... does it sound like war?? I bet is sound like war!

Any details? Is it still a FF drive layout? Cylinder count? Blown?

Those fog lights!

Toyota sold over 2 million 4th-gen Camrys in the US. I’ve seen less than 10 with the optional fog lights (and one of those was in the family).

Yeah, I’m pretty sure the TRD i mentioned didn’t even have those fog lights.

Do a youtube search for dynamotorsports. He also owns a 1400whp Supra.

It has been twincharged, big single turbocharged. and now twin turbo. It’s running a 3.3L V6 FF. It pulls away from GTRs lol!

See, that’s impressive, for sure... But a 1000hp Camry is something else entirely.

Damn!

Their website has a full evolution of the car. IMO it sounded best when it was twincharged. The videos don’t do it justice.

Oh man. My daily driver is a 4th gen Camry, and even with brand new suspension it still doesn’t feel like the kind of car that I’d be comfortable with having more power.
